One of New York City’s newest tourist attractions

Designed by Heatherwick Studio and Signe Nielsen of MNLA, Little Island opened to the public in May last year. Boasting 350 species of flower, a 687-seat amphitheatre, numerous play stations, and 114 trees, the park is the living definition of optimised space.

It covers just 2.4 acres of land, and is suspended upon concrete stilts over the Hudson River.

On a crisp, sunny day in the city, the place is alive with curious park-goers; drawing interest and footfall from all around Manhattan.
